Commission Process
Message me via Facebook, or add me on Discord (them fatale#0001).
I agree price up-front, listed rates are minimums and complex commissions may cost more.
I generally show a 1st and 2nd draft with chances for alterations. Major additions / changes to the brief may cost extra. I'm usually too accommodating for my own good, though.
I accept payments via PayPal invoices.
Terms & Copyright
Informal commissioned work usually doesn't have a contract, meaning the artist/designer retains ownership of our work, and an implicit agreement gives you limited permission to use it.
To keep things simple, I offer two options that quickly outline what you can and can't do with my work.
Please ensure you have the rights to use any material you provide to me
Option A
Personal Use
You have the right to use the work for personal non-commercial endeavors.The following are guidelines to be interpreted in good faith, it is not a formal legal contract.
I retain copyright ownership and all other rights. I can use the work myself, such as posting it on a portfolio.
You can use it for personal non-commercial uses, and any additional purposes agreed between us.
You can use the work to identify yourself social media pages and to represent yourself.
You can't sell the design, or things using it (such as apparel).
You can't use the design to represent a business entity or any of its brands.
You don't own the work, or have any exclusive rights over it.
Option B
No Copyright
I surrender all rights to the piece of work, and anyone can use it for any purpose.Ideal for commissions intended for public or community good, and when you want to eliminate the issue of copyright entirely.
I waive my rights using the Creative Commons CC0 legal document.
You, I, and anyone else can use the work for any reason with no restrictions.
You don't own the work, or have any exclusive rights over it.
Commercial, Ownership, Exclusivity, or Other Uses
Talk to me! We can figure out something that works for your situation. Business or commercial use will likely involve a contract, as will transfer of ownership or a license for exclusive use.
